The QTS Skills Tests consist of both the numeracy skills and literacy skills tests. The qts literacy skills test is made up of 42-49 marks and the test mark varies depending on the difficulty of the test but is reported to be around 60% for an average test. All prospective teachers must pass both QTS Skills Tests in order to continue on to teacher training and gain qualified teacher status. As with the qts maths test you only get 3 attempts at the literacy skills test before you are locked out for two years and therefore it is advisable to really prepare for your first attempt and try to pass it straight away. Some people to just turn up to their first attempt without much preparation and as a result are highly likely to fail it. You should prepare for the both QTS Skills tests effectively by accessing the best resources and additional help if required.
At QTS numeracy test we currently only focus on the professional numeracy skills test content and tuition. Therefore if you are looking for literacy skills test information or you would like to book a literacy skills test tutor to help you prepare for the exam then visit our partner site, QTS Maths Tutor, who help prospective teachers prepare for both the numeracy and literacy skills tests. We wish you luck with your preparation for both tests and remember, practise makes perfect!
