New Question Types for the Numeracy Skills Test

January 22, 2018

The numeracy skills test has to be passed in order to gain entry on to initial teacher training. Many people find the test tricky which is why we are here to help. The qts maths test is provided by learndirect who have a large question bank that was significantly altered in 2017 as a result of 2 years’ worth of testing. In 2018 new question types are still appearing every week as the bank of questions used for the test is very large. As part of our work with QTS Maths Tutor we collect feedback about what types of questions have come up in the most recent tests. This feedback is then used to design new practice questions which help people prepare more effectively for the numeracy skills test.

In January 2018 there seems to have been a number of two way tables appear in the numeracy skills test. These have been a part of the test in the past but over the last few months we haven’t seen that many at all until now. If you want to see some examples of the types of two way tables that appear on the numeracy skills test visit QTS Maths Tutor.  For more information about the numeracy skills test, what the pass mark is, how to book and everything else, visit the QTS Numeracy Test homepage.
